Hane Lake Press is an independent publisher based in Florida, producing a small number of carefully curated titles each year. We are dedicated to Southern stories rooted in place, memory, unforgettable characters, and the natural world—especially those shaped by Florida’s landscapes, wildlife, and cultural history.

Founded by artist, author, and publisher Amanda McCallister, Hane Lake Press exists to give focused, intentional attention to books that might otherwise be overlooked: art-driven works, place-based narratives, and projects that sit at the intersection of storytelling, environment, and visual culture. Florida Field Guide, Part I (forthcoming 2026) The first installment in a multi-volume visual field guide, featuring 110 digitally rendered proofs from the Florida Field Guide series bridging natural history, conservation, and contemporary art.
